After just one-half inning of play on Sunday the Clearwater Threshers v Lakeland Flying Tigers was suspended by rain. The Clearwater Threshers left the park with a 2-0 lead on a 2-RBI double from Matt Spencer.
The game was completed as part of a double header on Monday. Edgar Garcia took the mound in the continuation and pitched nearly flawlessly for five innings giving up just one hit and no runs with four Ks through the first five frames. Unfortunately the Tigers broke out in the sixth inning getting four straight singles to start the sixth inning plating two runs to tie things up before Garcia was able to escape the inning.
