Fun Practical Joke for Kids

One thing I know is that kid’s like it when you play tricks on them. For example, I was going to take my nephew to see a baseball game, but instead I drove to an old burned down warehouse.

“Oh No!” I exclaimed, “it looks like the ballpark burned down. I bet all of the players are dead.”

On the way home he cried and he cried, but deep down I’m pretty sure he thought it was a good joke.

IN OTHER NEWS: The Tampa Bay Rays have appearantly chosen to execute a rarely used agreement between Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball that allows any MLB club to prohibit a minor league franchise within 60 miles of their club to give away bobblehead dolls at any game (plus other prohibited promotional activities).

On Friday the Threshers are scheduled to give away a Pat Burrell bobblehead as part of a Friday night bobblehead series which has already included Chase Utley and Jimmy Rollins on two previous Friday night games. The Threshers’ intention was to give away a bobblehead of every starting player in the Phillies 2008 World Series lineup.

Clearwater Report 4/15-4/21

Week one for the Threshers was all about the offense as they lead the league after four games with 26 runs, but week two for the team was all about the pitching. The team was 4-3 on the week, and still remains on top of the Florida Sate League Northern Division with a record of 7-4. Each of the four wins this week included a pitching gem from their starters. Kyle Drabek had two wins going 13.2 innings with 19 strikeouts to go with the 8 from his first outing to now lead the FSL with 27 Ks overall. Carlos Monasterios threw a complete game shut out in his first start of the season in a seven inning affair as part of a double header, while Yohan Flande threw 7.0 innings on Sunday to improve his record to 2-0 with a perfect 0.00 ERA on the year.

Well, once agin the Threshers did this afternoon what they have done all year so far; score runs. The team picked up 8 runs on the afternoon while Kyle Drabeks magnificent pitching effort held the Flying Tigers offense silent. Drabek struck out 9 in 7.0 innings while walking none and scattering a paltry 3 hits. It looks like this kid is for real!
