The Threshers traveled to Lakeland on Saturday night for their first road game of the year. Unfortunately the teams efforts fell short as they dropped the game 4-3 to the Flying Tigers.
Antonio Bastardo gave a nice effort in his first start of the year giving up just one run on seven hits with seven strikeouts and two walks. Nate Johnson was tagged with the loss and a blown save as he gave up three runs in two innings of work while Sam Walls closed out the ninth giving up one hit and a walk, but no runs.
For the offense Gus Milner had two hits including a home run and 2 RBIs while scoring twice. PJ Antoniato picked up two hits and a walk in his first start, and Adrian Cardenas picked up a hit to up his batting average to a team best .417.
