The SCHMIDT LIST player of the game award went to Matt Spencer for his 3-4 effort with the team’s only RBI of the night.
Francisco Rosario got his second rehab start with the Threshers on Monday going one inning, and was replaced by starter Andy Cruse in the second. Andy had his longest outing of the year with a solid effort giving up just two runs on six hits, but he got no offensive support in the game as the Threshers were held scoreless until the ninth inning.
Brian Schlitter threw the final frame for the Threshers giving up a hit and a walk, but struck out three to end the inning. In the ninth the Threshers had their only multi-hit inning with Gus Milner picking up a lead-off double and then Matt Spencer picked up a two-out RBI single to give the team a fighting chance as they cut the deficit to 2-1, but in the end it would prove too little too late as the team fell by that same score in the end.
